Chair of Nuclear Provider Advisory Board Announced

STS Defence are delighted to announce that Clive Smith of STS Nuclear has been nominated as the Chair of the National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) Provider Advisory Board.
The NSAN Provider Advisory Board will bring together training providers from across the UK to provide guidance and advice on areas of skills development requirements that have been highlighted by NSAN’s Employer Advisory Board.
The Board’s members have been selected based on their experience in delivering skills for nuclear provision and come from universities, colleges and private training providers. Collectively, they will be instrumental in supporting the Employer Advisory Board to determine NSAN’s business strategy and offerings to the industry.
Clive Smith OBE, Principal Engineer of STS Nuclear said:
“I am proud to have been nominated for this prestigious post which I believe will provide a real opportunity to collaboratively develop and deliver the high quality training and skills products that the Nuclear Sector requires.”

“Clive is widely respected across the industry and brings with him a wealth of experience. Over the course of his career, Clive has worked at a national level on nuclear skills challenges in a number of guises including as the Nuclear Skills Lead for the DTI and as the Nuclear Skills Development Director for Cogent Skills.
Clive has been involved with NSAN for over a decade. His understanding of the skills challenges facing the nuclear industry in the UK and will bring considerable experience and leadership to this important role.”
NSAN’s Provider Advisory Board includes representatives from Aston University, Blackpool & The Fylde College, Centre for Leadership Performance, STS Nuclear, Grwp Llandrillo Menai, West Suffolk College, HKA Global Ltd, University of Cumbria, C&G Services, Oakridge Training Centre, Beehive Coaching & Leadership Development, Bridgwater College, Coleg Cambria, NaME, Aspire Procurement Training and Swagelok Manchester.
